DAULATABAD FORT is a historical place which is also known as (Devgiri fort). It was built on a 200 meter high conical hill in the 12th century by King Yadava Bhillama V, and was named the Devgiri. The fort was renamed Daulatabad by Mohammed Tughlaq in the 14th century, according to historians. It is situated at Daulatabad in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra. The fort is very close to Ellora caves at 11 KM distance and from Shree Bhadra Maruti Temple at 13 KM. Daulatabad fort has been the capital of many dynasties, as the first capital of Yadava and, briefly, for the Delhi Sultanate.
