Shree Bhadra Maruti Mandir is the oldest temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman ji where Lord Hanuman Ji is in a sleeping position. It is located at Khuldabad in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra.

The temple was found to have existed since the Ramayana period, and the old name of this temple used to be known as ‘Bhadravathi.’ The King of Bhadravathi used to be Bhadrasen, who was the Devotee of Lord Ram. Once the king of this place was singing hymns. While hearing the hymns, The Lord Hanumanji came to this place, and listening to the sweet hymns went in a sleeping posture. Seeing like this King Bhadra Sen Prayed to the Lord Hanumanji ji to stay here forever. After that, the temple was built in this place by King Bhadrasen.

This is one of the three temples in India where Lord Hanumanji can be seen in a resting posture, two of these temples are located in different places. The second one is at the banks of Ganga Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and the third one is at Jam Sawali in Madhya Pradesh.

The temple is a spiritual site and a beautiful tourist attraction, as a large number of devotees reach there at the time of festivals like Hanuman Jayanti & Ram Navami. Many people arrive there from Aurangabad and nearby Village to take Darshan’s on Tuesday & Saturday also.
