About

‘Shri Grineshwar jyotirlinga is the smallest one of the twelve jyotirlingas and is situated in Verul village, close to the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (old Aurangabad) and nearly 1km from Ellora cave’s in state of Maharashtra. It was first found in the 6th century and was rebuilt in the year 1729 by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar in its current state. It is the 12th and final jyotirlinga & namely known for its Hemadpanti Architectural beauty, meaningful history & spiritual significance of the Lord Shiva.
